Job Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Annual Giving Officer’s primary responsibility is to provide ongoing development, review, analysis and reporting of the Foundation’s Annual Giving program. This involves annual direct mail campaigns, monthly giving, grateful patients, memorial and tribute giving, employee giving (Feel Good In Your Hood) program and grant applications of $5,000 and under. This role supports the growth of the Foundation’s fundraising portfolio, with the successful candidate managing the annual giving portfolio, and raising $650,000 annually, with a pipeline of $1M.

The Annual Giving Officer also responsible for supporting the development of a prospect pipeline for the Foundation’s Major Gifts and Estate & Gift Planning programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the strategy and development of Annual Giving program with a focus on the priorities identified in the Foundation’s Strategic Plan with a long-term view to grow and diversify the annual giving channel.
  2. Manage the portfolio of the Annual Giving program, including annual direct mail campaigns, monthly giving, grateful patient, memorial and tribute Giving, employee giving (Feel Good In Your Hood) program and grant applications of $5,000 and under.
  3. Works with the Executive in maintaining an on-going program growth strategy, and provide input into the development of the Foundation goals and development plans.
  4. Work collaboratively with the development team in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardships of donors.
  5. Ensure personal revenue goals and targets are met for all fundraising programs within the Annual Giving portfolio.
  6. Maintain the integrity of the CRM system by complying with policies and procedures for data collection and data entry.
  7. Write proposals and cases for support that clearly explain the funding opportunities for prospective donors.
  8. Support ERHF’s signature special events – the Evening of Caring Gala and the Ryan and Lucas Johansen Charity Golf Classic, as well as other events as required.
  9. Attend meetings and community events outside of regular work hours as required.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Post-secondary education, preferably in a relevant field (Fundraising, Marketing, Business or Communications) OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  2. Minimum three (3) years fundraising experience, with some direct experience in annual giving programs, or other fundraising portfolios. Healthcare experience preferred.
  3. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and analytical abilities; vigorous attention to detail; exceptional time and organizational management skills.
  4. Advanced experience using Raiser’s Edge NXT or related CRM system and Microsoft Office.
  5. Working knowledge and experience with data analytics, data segmentation, and reporting.
  6. Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring annual business plans and budgets.
  7. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. 
  8. Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a proposed range of $72,000-$85,000 annually.
