Areola Tattoo Clinic
The Areola Tattoo Clinic at Eagle Ridge Hospital is one of the only clinics of its kind in Greater British Columbia, providing women with free areola tattoo services – giving them closure after mastectomy and reconstructive surgeries as a result of breast cancer.
Areola tattooing uses pigments to simulate the physical dimension and depth of an areola which is usually removed during a mastectomy. Areola Tattooing is the final procedure in the reconstructive journey, symbolizing the ultimate step for breast cancer survivors. Beyond its physical significance, this transformative process fosters feelings of healing and confidence, marking a profound emotional milestone after a battle with breast cancer.
In this video, meet Sandi, our dedicated registered surgical nurse and talented tattoo artist. Hear from Isabel, a former patient, as she shares her transformative journey with breast cancer and the profound impact of our clinic. Join Gen as she undergoes her tattoo procedure, sharing her authentic thoughts along the way.
The Areola Tattoo Clinic relies solely on donations to operate. Your contribution today can make a significant impact, ensuring that breast cancer survivors can receive Areola Tattoo services for years to come at no cost. Donate today.
