For Tom and Sherry Ramsay, owners of Meridian RV, giving back is a way of life. As long-time residents of the Tri-Cities, their dedication to community health care has been unwavering. Since 1996, they have been strong partners of Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, supporting numerous initiatives—including many of the Foundation’s match fund campaigns, helping to amplify community giving.
In 2021, when the opportunity arose to support the Emergency Department redevelopment at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Tom and Sherry committed to this initiative without hesitation. In loving memory, Tom and Sherry honoured Tom’s parents Doug and Leone Ramsay, who settled their family in the Tri-Cities in 1960. Tom and Sherry named an Airborne Isolation Suite in the newly expanded space, “We are so grateful to be able to do this,” they shared. “We work hard so that we can give back, and we hope to inspire others to do the same.”
Having reached our esteemed Doctors of Philanthropy status with their gift – an honour awarded to those who have contributed over $100,000 cumulatively to Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation – but unable to attend an official recognition event, we are proud to celebrate them now for their exceptional commitment to health care in our community.
Meridian RV has been a pillar of the Tri-Cities for over 50 years, built on a legacy of hard work, integrity, and generosity. “It goes back to how we were raised,” Tom said. “My parents taught me that ‘right is might’—always take the honest approach, be kind, and help where you can. Without their hard work and guidance, I would not have the opportunity to engage in meaningful philanthropic work.”
Tom and Sherry’s belief that hospitals are there for everyone has guided their philanthropy, even through challenging times. Their support has made a lasting impact, ensuring Eagle Ridge Hospital continues to provide life-saving care to those who need it most.
We are deeply grateful to Tom and Sherry Ramsay, esteemed Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation Doctors of Philanthropy, for their years of generosity and unwavering commitment to community health care.
