Tim and Rose Mackenzie have spent decades providing unwavering support and leadership in their community. And we were happy to present them with the Caring Heart Award at the year’s Evening of Caring Gala.
Tim and Rose have followed the exemplary lead of Tim’s parents, Ken and Dorothy Mackenzie who were also big supporters of Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, and have become recognized community leaders in philanthropy, consistently going above and beyond to give back to their community.
The Mackenzie family began their philanthropic journey with the Foundation in 1993, inspired by gratitude for the caregivers at “their hospital”. Since that first gift, they have remained steadfast in their support, making them the longest-standing supporters of the Evening of Caring Gala.
Their personal giving, combined with Tim’s family businesses, Harken Towing, Tidal Towing, and Tidal Coastal Towing have resulted in an extraordinary family legacy in support of the Foundation.
They are not only dedicated supporters of the Foundation, but also champions of community engagement, inspiring their family, friends, and professional networks to join them in causes close to their hearts.
Tim and Rose have fostered a culture of generosity within their family, encouraging active involvement in Foundation initiatives. Their daughter-in-law, Sheri Mackenzie, has been a passionate advocate and long-time volunteer, dedicating countless hours to the Gala and championing the Foundation within the community.
Through their leadership, the Mackenzies have inspired a ripple effect of kindness, commitment, and community. And we cannot thank them enough for the generosity and commitment to making this a stronger community, by supporting Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation.
