Nearly every day we hear from grateful patients and their loved ones, speaking of the wonderful care they received at Eagle Ridge Hospital, and the people who helped make that possible.
Our “Champions of Care” Program provides an opportunity to thoughtfully honour and recognize an Eagle Ridge Hospital employee or volunteer who has made a difference in a patient’s health care journey, or that of a loved one. Perhaps it was their expertise, or simply sharing a smile or kind gesture when it was needed most.
When a donation is made and a champion is nominated, the honouree is presented with a card that includes a special message of thanks, as well as a pin to wear with pride.
It was an honour to acknowledge our most recent “Champion of Care”, Sandi Saunier, RN, following a nomination and donation received from a grateful patient of Eagle Ridge Hospital’s Areola Tattoo Clinic, a program fully funded by the Foundation, providing free service to breast cancer survivors to help bring closure and feelings of completeness. Sandi’s patients consistently receive exceptional care during this final stage of their breast cancer survival journey.
