Rotary Club of Coquitlam Supports Mental Health with Donation to Walk-a-Mile Event

March 26, 2025

Founded in 1967, the Rotary Club of Coquitlam is the oldest Rotary Club in the Tri-Cities—and one of the most dedicated to serving the community. With members from diverse backgrounds, generations, and walks of life, the club is united by the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self”. Whether it’s through local initiatives or global outreach, the club’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for others—one project at a time.

As long-time supporters of Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation since 2007, the Rotary Club of Coquitlam continues to show up for our community in meaningful ways. Most recently, they contributed $5,000 in support of Walk-a-Mile for Mental Health, held at the Lodges on the former Riverview Lands. Their donation directly supports residents living with persistent mental illness as they focus on rehabilitation and reintegration into society—demonstrating the club’s deep and ongoing commitment to mental health initiatives in our community.

We’re deeply grateful to the Rotary Club of Coquitlam—and to leaders like Past President Dr. Brooke Lewis—for their steadfast dedication to building a healthier, more compassionate community. Your support truly makes a difference.
