The Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce the successful completion of its capital campaign. The momentous achievement was celebrated at the Foundation’s 30th Annual Gala, raising $318,000 during the evening towards the Medical Imaging Capital Campaign, exceeding its fundraising goal of $2.1 million to upgrade medical imaging equipment at Eagle Ridge Hospital (ERH).
80% of patients who come to the Emergency Department of ERH will require some form of medical imaging during the course of their diagnosis and treatment. Since the opening of the first phase of the newly renovated Emergency Department in September of 2021, the capacity of the Emergency Department has tripled in size, increasing the demand on the Medical Imaging Department as well. The Medical Imaging Capital Campaign, launched in November 2021 aimed to upgrade the medical imaging equipment at ERH, providing state-of-the-art medical imaging technology.
The upgraded medical imaging equipment will significantly enhance the hospital’s ability to diagnose and treat patients promptly and accurately, providing benefits such as reduced wait times, lower radiation doses, and instantaneous bedside medical imaging. This milestone achievement will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families in our community, providing them with the best possible healthcare experience when they need it most.
“The successful completion of our $2.1 million capital campaign is a testament to the incredible generosity and commitment of our community, I feel so grateful that we not only reached, but exceeded our goal,” said Judy Zhu, Executive Director of the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation.
“I am so grateful that you all stepped up again, to make this success happen. As we celebrate the success of this Medical Imaging campaign, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you who contributed to this tremendous achievement. It is through your philanthropic spirit and dedication that we have been able to raise the funds necessary to enhance the medical imaging capabilities of Eagle Ridge Hospital,” said Tom Morton, Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation Chair.
The funds raised through this campaign will fund for ERH:
- Two (2) Portable Ultrasound Machines
- Two (2) Mobile Digital X-Ray Machines
- General Procedure Radiographic X-Ray Machine
- Mini C-Arm – an x-ray attachment for surgical suite
- Portable Ultrasound for PICC Lines
- Cardiac Echo Ultrasound
The Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to donors, community partners, sponsors and volunteers, whose generosity and commitment to the cause will have a profound impact on the health and well-being of countless individuals who seek medical care at Eagle Ridge Hospital.
Moving forward, the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation remains dedicated to its mission of supporting community programming for healthcare in the Tri-Cities, Anmore and Belcarra region. The successful completion of the capital campaign marks a significant milestone in this ongoing journey and reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to the community.
