Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation

Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation’s primary purpose is to raise funds and awareness to improve the health of our community through donations to Eagle Ridge Hospital. All communications are intended to solicit donations to support the greatest needs at Eagle Ridge Hospital.

The Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation opened its doors in 1982 (when it was incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia). Since 1999, it has raised more than $14 million dollars to support the needs of Eagle Ridge Hospital.

What We Do

The Foundation strives to provide hospital staff with the best medical equipment, programs and facilities, to better serve the Tri-Cities community. We also promote the professional development of our hospital staff by awarding educational scholarships and research grants.

Why We Fundraise

Each year, the funds raised purchase 70% of all new equipment and technology for the Eagle Ridge Hospital and Manor.

So, without your support, the hospital would be left with only 30% of its equipment needs met! This is why your support for the hospital is so important.

The Hospital and Manor

After opening in 1984, the hospital serves the second fastest growing area within The Fraser Health Authority.

Eagle Ridge Hospital is the Tri-Cities only community hospital and serves the 216,000 residents of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra. The hospital is also the first choice of many doctors, athletes and patients from surrounding Lower Mainland communities, requiring elective surgery.

How many people visited Eagle Ridge Hospital in 2010 – 2011?

  • Overall visits – 100,000
  • Emergency visits – more than 40,000
  • Outpatient visits – 57,000

How many hospital beds are there?

  • Total beds: 137, 102 of which are Acute Care Beds
  • Total capacity: more than 200 beds

Eagle Ridge Hospital is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Services provided include: Emergency, Medical Imaging, Lab, Ambulatory Care, Physiotherapy and Cardiology.

The hospital also provides important asthma and diabetes outpatient clinics, as well as outreach public health services. These public health services, such as communicable disease control and maternal and child health are essential to the wellbeing of our community.

Eagle Ridge Manor provides extended care services to patients who may not be able to care for themselves.

Our Future

As our population grows, the hospital must grow to meet the increased demand. By 2013 the Tri-Cities will grow by 100,000 residents, almost all of whom will use the hospital at least once.
